Hi, can you use a android phone that just has a screen? Are there any programs that would make it be accessible with just the touch screen?
not that I know of. Mobile Accessibility is the only accessibility program I know well (though I realize there are others out there), but you would need some kind of navigation key like a trackball or trackpad to use it efficiently.
supposedly from what i hear ice cream sandwich adds in touch screen support but i don't know
Icecream sandwidge is the only fully touch OS you can use on a total touch screen. That I do know, however, there are some bugs I have red that still need to bee worked out. You can use the browser, but its teedious and no heading, table or any swiching of navaigation yet. I do say yet, that is beeing worked on at this time. I belong to the eye's free shell, and moble accessibility list. Also a free screenreader named spiel, is working with icecream sandwidge and it is scriptible. Last I heard the app DEV is working on braille support in icecream sandwidge, so lets see where that goes.
Wait a minute, isn't that the Orion 18 Braille Tablet he's working on? I heard something about Braille and Android and I thought that might be it.
no, for all of the ICS OS
fOR A VIRTUAL KEYBOARD, DOWNLOAD EYES-FREE KEYBOARD, IT HAS A D pad for navigation, I just got the Samsung Nexus S and it's touch only.
